Where it comes from

From the farm and the people who grew it to how it was processed and roasted.

The story

Gondo AA Washed comes from Gondo Factory Washing Station in the Mathioya area of Muranga County, Kenya.

The coffee was grown at approximately 1,900 metres above sea level and includes SL28, Ruiru, Batian, and SL34 varieties.

It undergoes a double-stage washed process. After pulping, the coffee is soaked in water for approximately 48 hours, cleaned, and soaked again for an additional 48–72 hours before drying.

The product labels identify dried fruits, blackcurrant, caramel, and tea-like character. The supplied reference additionally lists citrus, stone fruit, plum, sugary sweetness, and juicy acidity.

The coffee is roasted to a light-to-medium filter profile and is available in 250 g and 1 kg packs.

What to expect in the cup

Notice the aroma before you sip, how the texture feels, and how the cup changes as it cools.
